Okay, it turns out I do have a guardian angel, and he came through for me when I needed him. It was sweet and wonderful, and I'm fairly sure that this particular debt can never be repaid. Not in the material sense, of course, but the way that happens when someone goes so far out of their way that you'll never be able to make it up to them. So thanks.
